Charleston's biggest comic event since 2008!

  Captain's Comic Expo is Charleston's longest running comic book event. CCE is hosted and organized by Charleston's own Captain's Comics and Toys. We strive to organize the best event possible for the community because we are invested everyday in the community! Our 19th annual Captain's Comic Expo returns on February 20-21, 2027.

The Expo is a comic-focused event with a variety of comic dealers, artists, comic book pros, cosplay, and fun! The Omar Shrine Event Hall at Patriot's Point has been a perfect venue since 2015. The 2 day Expo will host a food truck rodeo featuring some of the best eats in the area. Saturday welcomes the Star Wars 501st Legion, a team of movie-accurate Star Wars characters who interact with fans (pending approval)! Sunday hosts the largest cosplay event in Charleston, Cosplay LIVE!

Vendor Tables- includes a 6' table in a 6'x6' space and includes 2 passes to the event. Tables are $180 each and vendors are welcome to purchase up to 4 inline tables.

Artist Tables- includes a 6' table in a 6'x6' space and includes 2 passes to the event. Tables are $150 each and artists are welcome to purchase up to 2 tables. Artist tables are for traditional pencil/ink artwork, digital artwork, and prints. Authors selling their own comics/novels are also able to purchase artist tables. 

T-shirt, jewelry, crafting, and other table types will be considered vendor tables. If you have follow up questions, please contact Mike at captainscomics@gmail.com

Vendor Bricks- Vendor Bricks are very limited availability and rarely open up. Vendor bricks are 10' wide by 15' deep and come with 2 tables and 2 passes. (Feel free to bring more tables and setups.) Vendor Bricks are $400.

VENDORS AND ARTISTS FROM THE 2026 EXPO HAVE FIRST PRIORITY ON TABLES FOR THE 2027 EVENT.

Returning vendors have until August 31st to book the 2027 Expo. On September 1st, we will begin processing new applicants for any remaining space. Once we process your application, we will email you an invoice.  

The venue increased our rent by $3,000 for this year. We've assumed some of that cost, but a small portion will be reflected in table prices.

Tables are only guaranteed once fully paid.

Captain's Comic Expo is a family-friendly event. All displayed artwork must fall into a PG-13 range of content. No weapons or bootleg materials allowed on the sales floor. NO AI ARTWORK.

We are unable to guarantee refunds for the Expo, but we may be able to offer a credit for the following year with reasonable notice. No notice/no shows are not invited back for following events. For additional questions, please email Mike at captainscomics@gmail.com

CCE is a curated event. We only allow a reasonable number of vendors of each category. Too many of any one type of vendors at the event creates a lack of product diversity, lowers sales, and becomes unappealing for all. For that reason, some table types will sell out faster than others. Please be sure to fill out the form properly so we can match you with the right category.

  We had over 100 applications for artists and crafts persons for 2026, and we only have limited space for the event, so not everyone who applies will get in. We will review applications in waves, so please be patient if it takes us a little time to reply to your application. Be sure to include if you have set up with us in the past and a link to your work, so that we can make an informed decision on applications.
