Featuring over 120 tables of classic and modern comic books, amazing artwork, unique artisans, outstanding cosplay, and much much more, Captain’s Comic Expo is the true comic-con experience right in your backyard!
Saturday’s “The Star Wars Experience” returns to the Expo for an amazing display! Featuring a HUGE selection of Star Wars characters, life-sized props and photo ops, and more, The Star Wars Experience will let you feel like your part of the action!
Sunday will feature Cosplay LIVE!, the largest cosplay showcase in Charleston! Come either (or both) days dressed up in your costume of choice, and have your style captured by one of our professional photographers with one of our many special guests!
Outside the hall we’ll have a food truck rodeo with amazing local meals and snacks for everyone!

11am Jim Shooter: Legend of the Comics Industry
Former Marvel Editor in Chief Jim Shooter tells you what you need to know to create and write comics stories. Jim explains how to develop ideas, and, using a slide presentation, teaches the art and architecture of stories, how to write well and successfully, and much more. He reveals fundamentals of the craft that will help you bring your creations to life. Essential knowledge for artists as well as writers.
12pm Cosplay LIVE! Cosplay on a Budget:
Join our cosplay pros as they break down how to build an awesome cosplay without breaking the bank. Bring your questions and be ready for both knowledge and laughs!
1pm Kat Cressida: Giving voice to our imagination and cartoons
You know her as Dee Dee in Dexter's Laboratory, Jessie in Toy Story at Disney Parks, The Bride from the Haunted Mansion attraction, or her many voices in video games and animation. Now, come meet the great Kat Cressida live and in person! Kat is overflowing with stories and insight into the world of acting and will put a smile on your face.

The 501st and friends will once again return to the stage to bring the love of Star Wars to the Expo! Come interact with camera-ready Stormtroopers, Jedi, Sith, and all your favorites from a galaxy far, far away!
Come bust some ghosts, take a photo, and have fun with the SC Ghostbusters!
CCE wants to celebrate your hard work on your cosplay with the Cosplay LIVE! stage show. Sign up at the main stage during the day on Sunday to walk the stage and take a bow. The Stage Show is at 3pm, and a member of the Cosplay LIVE! team will let you know where and when to meet back up to participate.
CCE is excited to introduce an cosplay parade for the kids! Check in with a Cosplay LIVE! team member at the main stage any time Sunday, and they'll give you details on where to line up to participate. The parade begins at 2pm and parents are encouraged to walk with younger kids.
